The ordering process intrigued me; it involved using a tablet to place orders, offering both advantages and disadvantages. On one hand, it minimized human interaction, allowing customers to seamlessly place their orders. However, on the flip side, it might prove challenging when customers have inquiries about the menu. The interior, though compact, displayed a unique charm with its outdoor-style bench tables though they were a tad sticky. My order consisted of two pokes, resulting in a total bill of approximately $45. The overall experience was average, with food quality being decent. However, I found the portion size slightly modest considering the price point. I ventured to Pisces Poke Ramen primarily based on reviews describing it as a hidden gem. I acknowledge that it indeed resides in a cozy corner within a small plaza, contributing to its hidden charm. Despite my hopes for an exceptional experience, I must admit that there was nothing particularly compelling that would draw me back for a return visit. I intend to neither diminish the establishment nor deter others from exploring it. It's possible that different preferences and tastes may lead others to find enjoyment in this unique spot. I still recommend others to give this spot a try
Holy wow! All the reviews were spot on. This is exactly why I always explore new areas on yelp to find these amazing places. It is on a nondescript plaza next to a Subway. You could drive by it a hundred times and never notice it, but man would your life be incomplete as a result. Quite possibly the best poke I have had in LA. Almost certainly the best musubi. So much spam goodness, perfectly balanced sauce. I'm salivating all over again while writing this review. Just accept all I am saying and go and come back here and write just how worthwhile the drive was. Service was good, quick, and simple. You order on a screen and you pay and you don't talk to anyone unless you want to. Your food is brought out shortly thereafter by the friendly person who also prepped it. The menu is limited and simple. Which is probably what makes for the perfect arrangement and consistency of your order. This is the howlin' rays of poke, but without the crazy lines... yet.
Pisces Poke and Ramen is a hidden gem, tucked away in an El Sereno strip mall. As someone who has enjoyed poke across Hawaii, I can say without reservation that the poke here rivals--if not surpasses--anything I've had in Oahu, Kauai, or Maui. The flavors are spot-on, capturing the authentic taste and quality you'd expect from a top-tier poke establishment. Add to that the reasonable pricing and the absence of frills, and you've got yourself a perfect weekday lunch option if you're in the area. It's remarkable to think that some of the best poke can be found in such an unassuming location. Highly recommend giving Pisces Poke and Ramen a try--you won't be disappointed.
The food was okay, nothing really bad but not that good either. I would go here if you like Hawaiian style poke but it's not a first or second choice for me. The service was good although all the tables were dirty. Overall I would not go here unless you are in a time pinch and this is the closest poke place.
Awesome poke, super flavorful and fresh! I love the setup of the plate, the sides compliment the fish and rice perfectly. I have had several delicious meals from this place, but didn't rate it a 5 because one time when I ordered towards the end of the day, my poke wasn't very flavorful and honestly just wasn't good. It tasted like it barely had any seasoning which I know is not how it usually tastes, since it's normally phenomenal! At the pricepoint, I'd definitely want that flavorful plate I usually get. Still fully recommend this place and will be back soon!
