This was my first time having a vegetarian sushi experience and it tasted so close to the same thing, I had so much joy. Food is really good. The ramen is excellent. The vibes are Great. Friendly service. Highly recommend itFood: 5/5
Small place in studio city. We ordered their Mayu garlic Japanese ramen and hot and hot spicy cream roll sushi. The sushi was very good but ramen was average. The ramen broth could be more spicy and flavorful.
I REALLY wanted to like this place and I'm a vegetarian. Decided to make the hour trek to check it out based on reviews here's my take:Service/Staff friendly, efficient, awesome Ambience simple charming cutesy cafe Food Ordered Beyond Ramen: average. Fried Cauliflower: tasty with a heavy crisp hush puppie coating, served with an okay sweet oil condiment. Dynamite Roll: Sweet mayo/cream sauce, mushy flavorless interior, tough seaweed/nori exterior. Vegan Popcorn Roll: also with a sweet cream sauce on a pile of what seemed like fried tasteless soy protein maybe and rice with no idea what the rest was. All in all not living up to the hype...
I've heard so much praise for this place. A cousin of mine raved about it, so when an opportunity presented itself, I met a friend there for dinner.Parking is easy as it has its own lot as well as plenty of street parking. I found it easily as the huge mural is hard to miss. It was pretty busy there, so we took the last seat, outside and they were kind enough to light the heater for us.We ordered the Tempura Shiitake Mushroom Skewers and Crispy Rice Vegan Spicy Tuna to start. For our entrees we ordered the vegan Caterpillar roll, another roll and the spiciest Ramen Soup available. The presentation was beautiful. The food tasted delicious with the Deep Fried Shiitake Skewers taking the lead. Service was very slow though. At one point we had to wave her down from the outside to get our bill. She took our credit cards and forgot about us, until we waved her down again 45 minutes later. So, why did this review get one star? It's because of the vicious food poisoning we got afterwards. Food was tasty, service was not good and the food poisoning was the worst. Will I give this place another try? I probably will, but not anytime soon.
