Bubble U - Los Angeles

I visited the new boba tea shop and sampled their delightful oolong milk tea, salt and pepper fries, BBQ fries, and salt and pepper fried mushrooms. Everything was absolutely delicious! This is the best boba tea spot in town, and I’m eager to explore more items on their menu. I highly recommend this place!

Charming little place in Chinatown, but it feels lifeless due to the lack of human interaction. You enter, place your order at the machines, and can't ask any questions since there's no staff around. While the technology is impressive, it completely lacks customer service. I don't think the high ratings are justified; my Thai green tea boba was quite watery and the boba was only medium-soft. Other drinks might be better, but I don't plan on returning. The prices are steep, but the overall experience was disappointing. Additionally, parking can be tough since it's such a busy area in Chinatown.

Absolutely amazing! The boba was delightful! The service was great, and the ambiance was charming. I tried the tiramisu boba, while others enjoyed the black sugar boba, Thai iced tea boba, and mango green tea boba. Everything was fantastic. The boba had the perfect texture—fresh and sweet, without being too sugary, and the coffee and teas were equally excellent. I will definitely return when I'm in the area!

The boba here is incredibly fresh! It's the best bubble tea I've had in a long time! Food rating: 5/5.

Awful drink and super expensive.Took the train here so didn’t have to worry about parking but if we paid for parking to come here, I would have been mad!You have to order using their monitor screen at the front (hate that, especially when someone is there at the counter already).All the drink options did not really stand out to me but it was a warm day so we wanted to get something refreshing. Chose the strawberry drink with crystal boba and it honestly was not very good. The boba was shaped weird but tasted ok. The drink itself was not a good mix and had an odd taste.It was $9 (I did choose a lactose friendly milk)!!!! Definitely not worth the price.The decorations in front were cute and there is sufficient seating inside. But I would not come back here nor recommend it.
