B Sweet Dessert Bar - Los Angeles

This lemon bar was definitely not lemon. It was not remotely even close to lemoney..., well it looked like a lemon bar. I think its more like a sweet potato starch bar. How could a dessert bar go so wrong with a basic lemon bar? Someone forgot to put lemon in it for sure. : $7

Have been following on IG for a while and was finally in the area. First time having ube anything.. it was great! Not overly sweet. Perfect!

Sweetness overload! I thought I could handle trying a few items on my first visit but wow even though I shared everything with my 2 kids we still came home with about half of everything! First thing I wanted was the Halo Halo, then the hot bread pudding in Ube Lightyear flavor, also had to try the Buttered Popcorn Cake, and we tried the Ube Pandan Cake, last but definitely not least the delicious Ube Cheesecake! Halo Halo was so yummy and such a beautiful presentation. Hot bread pudding good sticky warm sweet and gooey...soo yummy. The Popcorn cake was so good and different I love popcorn and me and my kids loved the cake! Tastes like maybe a kettle corn mixed with a butter popcorn and a creamy cake all at the same time! The Ube cake was also a sugar rush by that time I had lots of sugar already but we took a try I think it had a tad too much frosting but the cake and pandan parts were so good all the cakes were moist spongy and creamy. And finally the Ube Cheesecake, it does taste like ube but I didnt really taste cheesecake. It was good dont get me wrong but not what I was expecting. I would return to try something new maybe ice cream or a latte. Beware! Hard to find parking unless you find a structure near by.

Not worth the hype. Great if you’re passing by and a friend goes inside for a bottle of milk. Aside from that, the flavors are too trendy and aren’t executed cohesively. I gave it a third chance (the first and only good cheesecake flavor being strawberry shortcake), and it tasted meh not coming together. Each slice is $8 and sadly not worth it. Lastly, when a hyper popular spot posts a brown sugar boba cheesecake… .

At first I felt a little weird entering the restaurant because I wasn't greeted, just stared at, but the cashier was really friendly when I placed my ordered. Although the bread pudding I ordered was good, I found it to be a little too wet and pairing it with ice cream was additional wetness. I anticipated it to be little dryer, as it appears on their Instagram page, but overall, 7 out of 10. I will definitely be back.
