Choo Choo Restaurant Bar - Loretto

So here's the short backstory. As children, my parents had a 1951 Lighthouse Deluxe mobile home on a plot near Annandale. It looked like a caboose and we called it the Choo Choo House . Mom saw an ad in a website for obscure fun restaurants throughout Minnesota and the Choo Choo Restaurant was on this page. She brought me here for a nostalgic fun The place had a full-sized kaboose inside. The interior is not bright, shiny or new, but I like it. Give me a Choo Choo Caboose about any crApplebees anyway! The waitress was super friendly and helpful. She listened to my parents sharing the story as we came to taste the Choo Choo Restaurant and was patient with us when we walked around the place that took photos. She was great to explain the specials and the menus and patients while we decided to order what. We all ended the club sandwich or BLT. Everyone really enjoyed the meal. The food was delicious portions were generous pommes were crispy house made chips were great and the onion rings were huge. I had the club on marbled rye bread with the fries. It was phenomenal! The waitress checked us several times and was very attentive to us during our meal. We were there at 11 a.m. and soon after lunch, it was much more business than I expected. Almost (if not a) whole house. That speaks a lot about a restaurant for me! We already make plans to return!!

I took my entire family to Choo Choo, and everyone adored the creative dishes. We were treated like family, and everything was perfectly prepared and absolutely delicious. If you're searching for a fun spot to enjoy some tasty morsels, look no further. And don't forget to save room for dessert! We highly recommend the crème brûlée and the hot fudge brownie sundae—they're simply exquisite!

Fantastic food and excellent service! I can't emphasize enough how great the food was! There were so many dishes on the menu I wanted to try—like ten of them! I will definitely return.

Always order the chili; it's a must-try. We always take home two orders of wings as well. Sherri is fantastic—she truly enhances the experience. We usually reserve the banquet room for our larger groups of 18 to 20 people.

Nice atmosphere, train car is cool and food was decent. Staff was nice once we were there a bit. Carpet is a bit worn but overall the place was better than expected.
