Bodacious -b-q - Longview

My family and I visited this restaurant and ordered a rib sandwich and a sloppy joe. The meat was left exposed under the table light, which made it dry. The worst part was the potato salad; it didn’t taste like any potato salad I’ve ever had before. It was overly creamy, almost like mayonnaise. I definitely won’t be going back and I wouldn’t recommend you waste your money there either.

I was very disappointed with my experience. The two-meat plate featuring ribs and brisket left much to be desired. The ribs were dry, and while the brisket was acceptable, it was served with just two slices of plain white bread. The coleslaw and potato salad were overwhelmingly heavy on mayonnaise, making them nearly inedible. Overall, it was not a good meal.

The BBQ was great. No music played in the background, which with a big enough crowd would be fine. We went when there was not a crowd, and the lack of music did feel slightly awkward. Big fan of the building. The architecture is fun and was one of the main reasons I wanted to dine here. The building is a 5* out of 5*s.

We visited after the lunch rush and I ordered the sliced brisket. While it was tasty, my portion included a large piece from the end, which turned out to be burnt. I don't mind spending more for quality barbecue, but I'm not convinced this met the high standards of bodacious BBQ.

Sorry to say. The meat had little flavor and was very dry. The potatoes salad tasted as if they added oil of some sort. The people working there were very nice tho.
