Royal Wok - Longmont

The food was outstanding, and the portion sizes were generous for the price. However, there was only one server handling the entire restaurant, which seemed to be a lot for him to manage. The Pao Pao platter was larger than we expected, and by the time our main courses arrived, we were already quite full. The only drawbacks were that the wings were a bit chewy, and the egg drop soup could have used more flavor.

I dined there last night and it was truly delightful! The egg drop soup is my favorite, and I also really enjoyed the crab cheese wontons. Our server, Jack, was extremely friendly and attentive!

I've been dining at this restaurant for almost 30 years, as it has been my family's favorite Chinese place since I was a teenager. However, during my last couple of visits, I've noticed a decline in food quality, and not in a good way. On one occasion, my lunch was so disappointing that I ended up tossing it in the trash. More recently, we opted to eat elsewhere because I couldn’t justify spending over $60 again if the food was going to taste like that last meal. I'm hoping this inconsistency is just a temporary issue resulting from the pandemic and that things will get back to normal soon.
