We are visiting from Texas and looked for local restaurants that we don't have at home and found this gem tucked away in a neighborhood. The menu was easy to read and offered a good variety of dishes. We ordered the fajitas for 2 with shrimp, chicken and beef. We had so much food we took some back to our hotel room for breakfast.
The food here is pretty good, nothing special for a mexican restaurant. The main thing I have an issue with at this place is the wait times and service. When I come here, I often wait at least 45 minutes for my food that isn't anything special. The service can also be slow sometimes. Otherwise great place.
Update: Was willing to try this place out again, because the food's pretty good. Turns out they must've fixed something, because the water was drastically better this time around. Previously, I gave it multiple chances before leaving the bad review, hopefully it stays good! Upgrading to 4 stars. Previous review: The food's pretty good! But, the water... ah man, the water taste's absolutely awful! It has a chemical taste... doesn't do much for the appetite. Getting a soda to mask the taste doesn't do much, because I know it's the same water that's being used to mix the syrup. Something must be wrong with their pipes or something, because there's nothing wrong with the water at other restaurants close by.
I liked this place. It was our first time t the stop in. I had the monster veggie burrito, it was full of a variety of vegetables, not just the usual peppers and onions. My husband had the enchilada and taco combo he enjoyed it. Yes, the chips were kinda bland, but I liked the salsa. We had the fried plantains with ice cream yum! Glad we gave it a try.
