Royal - Longhope

August in the Orkney Islands, so a fire burned in the grate! Alan is friendly and welcoming behind the bar. Then came the fish and chips, cooked by Sabine, which were absolutely delicious. A friendly atmosphere and well worth visiting.

Called in at lunchtime before visiting the Lifeboat Museum. They have recently started offering fish and chips at lunch and teatime. It was excellent quality and they were extremely friendly. I highly recommend this (but only if you like fish and chips, they have only one meal available).

Amazing food, even though it was cooked at short notice good company, and a very friendly dog! Good entertainment, and a cracking game of pool!

Great people great landlord great landlady and a great pub. The place has atmosphere. It has history. You can literally feel it.

Wonderful friendly buzz about the bar, welcomed by Allan, Sabine, Jimmy, Mary, Vera and many others with fire roaring on a windy October night......follow the warm light at the entrance to Longhope and you will be delighted by this wee bar.
