Long Lake Diner Owl #x27;s Head Pub

We have been here several times over the past few years and was always good. I'm wondering if there is a new cook as I don't believe the food was as good this time. This morning my wife had pancakes and thought they were a little doughy still. She originally was going to have a skillet and wanted to exchange sausage for bacon and was told they wouldn't do that. My omelette was just ok. For dinner last night I had chicken and biscuits which was ok but bland. My wife had a Philly cheese steak which was good but the onion rings were overdone. Asked for straws for our water which we never got. We also had an appetizer which was brought out just a minute or two before our meals. It also seemed like it must have been sitting for a bit because it wasn't hot, only lukewarm. Waited several minutes to get our check and then several more minutes to have the check picked up for payment. I didn't think they were overly busy so not sure what the issue was. Will go again but hoping it gets better again.

My husband and I went here for our honeymoon dinner since we were staying nearby. It was his first time here and I’ve been many times in the past. The food was okay. No complaints but not overly impressive either. The service left us less than impressed. Restaurant had 10-12 guests including us in it, but our waitress never stopped to check on us. I asked for a refill of my drink and the waitress said she would get it and left with the glass but never returned. I ended up having to buy a drink at a gas station for the ride back to our hotel. Was not thrilled with this visit, especially for how much we paid.

We were a party of 7 out for a late season motorcycle ride. I can't say enough about how pleasant an experience we had. I wish I could remember our servers name. She was an absolute gem. To start it was a matter of moments and she had 2 tables put together to seat our group. She as pleasant, personable, and right on the money in every way. All seven of our meals hit the table at the same time and every one of them was done to a turn. Tip of my hat to the kitchen staff! Every one of us was very happy. My coffee cup was never empty and my hot roast beef sandwich and fries were delicious. We had excellent service and excellent meals. And very reasonably priced.
