The menu has what you would expect to see, and a number of dishes you wouldn't - e.g. the pork belly a.k.a. Moo Grob (!!!). The owners are the most fantastic people, the food is reasonably priced and we've been back many times now since it opened, choosing it over other places. And my fussy-eating child absolutely loves the fried eggs that they cook him - I highly recommend a trip to visit or if you're just passing by!
We had dinner at the newly opened Eleven Thai Restaurant at Long Jetty on the NSW Central Coast.First impressions were that the décor is spartan. Newly painted walls and printed A4 paper window signs show it’s all very new and not yet finished. Overlooking these, we were seated next to the window and examined the menus. Immediately, I noticed that the prices of all dishes, except those with seafood, were very reasonable. The choice of dishes was extensive and difficult to choose from such promising culinary delights. Finally we settled on sharing a chicken satay for opener while my wife chose a stir fry beef salad and I chose the renowned standard – Pad Thai. While waiting I noticed a few things – the place is quite noisy with the kitchen as part of the restaurant, and the conversations of those cooking was intrusive. The restaurant is unlicensed and a corkage fee of $2 per person is charged. We had been seated in a shadow area of the air conditioner, so a portable fan was placed on the floor about 2 metres from our table to direct some cool air onto us. I wouldn’t like to be there on a hot day as there’s only 1 air conditioner on the left side of the large dining room. Our .satays arrived and we found that, while very tasty, they were a little salty. Our main dishes arrived in perfect timing and the Pad Thai was spot-on. Nicely cooked with a delightful flavour. The beef salad lacked a little in flavour, and could have been easily enhanced with a squeeze of lemon, crushed nuts and chopped coriander. All in all a satisfying meal and we are hoping that the enthusiastic team quickly sort out the teething problems with decorations, signage and air conditioning. We will certainly return.
This is a very reasonably priced Thai, newly opened. The choice of food was very good, and myself and my sisters really enjoyed all three dishes we ordered. Just remember to bring your own wine.
Very tasty & fresh food, wide variety & lunch specials, cooked to your liking. Extremely friendly, attentive & courteous service. A must to try!
I can see why there was a 30 minute queue, at least, on a Saturday night and this was earlyLine up, put your name down and take a number.
