Wokcano - Long Beach

The atmosphere was good, the noise level was fine, it was the food that was lacking. The service was very good, nice wait staff and reception! The sweetness of the sauces in our Mexican food was very different and not in a good way! Even the salsa for the chips was more like spaghetti, how do you mess up something simple like salsa??? We think the worst was the enchilada sauce, sweet sauce come on, cinnamon doesn't go with enchiladas, I don't care if it's California, it doesn't taste good, sorry!!!!!!

I love this place! Your salsa is excellent and the mole is wonderful too. I eat here every time I am in Laguna Beach.

The contemporary Mexican cuisine at this restaurant is truly outstanding! The terrace seating may be a bit cramped, but the overall experience is excellent.

Amazing salsa !! Great service and a fun environment !!! But they need better chefs with more than one cooking style who know how NOT to overcook all the meat they offer. ALL dishes taste very similar! All with burnt burn marks on "whatever" meat, mixed with similar spices and all well done to finish cooking. The burned cremation, like a fajitas, but for every dish? This is the second time that I had to come here with the same results ... I refuse the next time I am invited ... Maybe have a drink because the mood is good and fun ... she just need better cooks ...

The server was unprofessional, pushy in upselling, and slow in fulfilling our requests. The food quality was average at most, with excessive sauces and stale tortillas. Not worth recommending.
