Waters Edge Winery - Long Beach

I went to this restaurant for brunch, but was disappointed to find that the menu advertised was not what was actually offered. We were only given a choice of 2 brunch options and small plates, which was not what we had expected. The wine was good, but overall, the brunch experience was underwhelming. The small plates were also overpriced, with the crostinis coming with only 4 small slices of toast with ricotta for $17, which seemed excessive.

I took my wife and daughters to celebrate their birthdays at this restaurant, and we had a great experience. The staff was very friendly and interactive.

I wanted to like this spot-a winery in Long Beach! Our first interaction was with the “wine ambassador” trying to sell us on their monthly wine club; we hadn’t even tried anything, yet. Why would I purchase a monthly membership if I don’t know if I like something or not?!? Then you seat yourself, but only few tables were cleaned. The service was horrible. Multiple servers and kitchen staff attended to 1 table while the rest of us on the patio were left to fend for ourselves. I had to call over one of the servers who then told us that we should just go to the bar because it would take a while for her to get to us. It took forever for our food to arrive once we were able to order, with all of our food coming out at once instead of in courses. Then they forgot my husband’s pizzette, so that took another hour. It took us 2.5 hours to eat dinner. While we weren’t looking for a quick meal, this was exceptionally long.

I had an amazing experience at this restaurant. The wine was fantastic, the food was delicious, and the staff was incredibly friendly. When my girlfriend and I walked in, we were impressed by how welcoming the employees were. They seated us right away and checked in on us consistently throughout the meal. I have never received such exceptional service before, and I will definitely be returning. I wish I could remember the names of the individuals who assisted us because they went above and beyond for us. I am forever grateful for the wonderful experience we had at this restaurant.
