Ihop - Long Beach

Upon arrival, we were asked to sign in, and the young lady informed us it would take about 15 minutes. However, we ended up waiting for 30 minutes, and those who arrived after us were seated before us. On a positive note, the food was quite good.

I had a short wait at this particular IHOP, but the food was delicious and the service was exceptional. I was with my two young kids, and we ordered from the kids' menu, which was a fantastic value for the price. I'm definitely planning to return for happy hour, as they have specials on some dishes. Like many large franchises, the quality tends to decline when they are acquired by bigger corporations. However, this restaurant remains reliable and offers competitive pricing. I do miss the days before Monsanto became involved in the food enhancement industry.

First-time here in ages, and IHOP didn't disappoint for lunch. Had a new menu item, the Cali Roasted Turkey melt with onion rings. I was expecting something that would've been kind of tough to bite and chew on, but I was totally wrong. The onion rings were crispy to perfection and stayed that way all the way to the last ring. The turkey melt was perfectly moist and practically melted in my mouth. I hope to return soon so that I can have both again...even if I have to take it to-go.

Food was pretty good. The food did take take awhile to get to our table but that was just due to short staff. And my coffee mug was dirty ..it had melted sugar on the handle ..
