Georgia's - Long Beach

The staff is consistently polite, and I enjoyed the jambalaya and pasta, which were both delicious. I also had a refreshing light beer on tap with a hint of mango—absolutely perfect! Thank you, Team Georgia!

It was my daughter and my first visit, and I decided to try a few items from the menu: 1. **Fried Green Tomatoes**: These were cooked nicely, and the texture was spot on. However, the flavor left much to be desired. I’m not an expert on fried green tomatoes, but they tasted more like pickles. If I had wanted fried pickles, I would have ordered those. The pickling flavor was not to my liking. 2. **Gumbo**: This is one of my favorites, but neither of us enjoyed the overly watered-down flavor or texture. 3. **Grilled Chicken Plate**: The chicken was dry, and the beans were mysteriously missing from the rice dish. Perhaps some of the flavor went missing along with them. 4. **Jambalaya**: This was the highlight of the meal; it was flavorful and had the right texture. If I were to return—though that seems unlikely—I would definitely order this again. Overall, this experience makes me want to seek out my other favorite restaurants to satisfy my craving for authentic Southern cuisine. As for the atmosphere, the bathrooms were not clean, which isn’t surprising given how dirty the seating area was as well.

Delicious Southern cuisine! I really enjoyed the beers, although I forgot to ask which ones they had. The cornbread with the honey butter dip was fantastic. There's plenty of parking available in the area. Overall, lots of free parking options!

Georgia's in Long Beach has come a long way from when it opened, and this is evident by the crowd. The service is good and the food keeps getting better. It can get a little crowded at times, but that is a good problem to have. Overall, I would recommend it.
