Baked By The Ocean - Long Beach

This charming and delightful bakery has a lovely atmosphere, and the desserts are delicious. My main concern is that none of the items are labeled, so you have to ask directly about what they are and their prices. In the end, I picked out four items for a total of $19, one of which was the "Thot Brownie." I would have skipped it if I had known it contained nuts. Thankfully, I don't have any allergies, but I really dislike nuts, and it didn't seem like it contained any when I chose it.

I went in for a cupcake. came out with thr cupcake and 2 amazing s’mores that were delicious! I'll be sure to stop again.

I had heard a lot about this place, and it definitely lived up to the hype! I tried the sprinkle cookie and the oatmeal raisin, and since I was a bit overwhelmed with choices, I went with those two. They were absolutely incredible!

I first inquired about a cake six weeks in advance, but received no response. I followed up three weeks prior to my event and still got no reply. A week and a half before I needed the cake, I reached out again, but there was still no answer. Finally, just half a week before my event, I received a message asking for details about what I needed and the date. However, after I replied with my requirements, I was left without any further communication. This lack of professionalism was very frustrating. If they were unable to fulfill my order, they could have simply said so. Instead, I sent multiple emails that went unanswered, which was quite disappointing. I was really hoping to get my cake from this place since it's my friend's favorite, but I ended up placing backup orders elsewhere and fortunately found what I needed in the end. Honestly, this experience has left me feeling disheartened. A business that ignores inquiries is concerning, and I’m not sure if I would consider them again for custom orders in the future.

Very disappointed, very bad customer service. I brought some friends to talk business at Baked By The Ocean because of their lovely decor and delicious sweets. We got tea and goodies to eat and sat by the table area to talk business and they had great music on but the sound was overbearing and we were having a hard time hearing each other because the soundbox was right in front of us on the table/counter.I lowered the sound a little but someone, I actually think it was the owner, kept raising it. There was no one in the store except us eating there, some people walked in and out and all the other chairs were free. After a while, that person who I think was the owner told us to stop lowering the volume. I told her that I couldn't hear my friends talking because the soundbox was right in front of us. She said your ruining the sound, I said I just lowered it a bit because I was trying to enjoy our tea and conversation in her store. She actually then said that they weren't allowing indoor seating, but there were no signs saying that and when we first walked in there were about 7 girls sitting at all those chairs. I told her that.I felt like she was kicking us out of the store. No matter how pretty or how good the food is, the owner is completely transactional and does not have any sort of pleasant environment and customer service for customers. I will never eat there or order from there again. I felt extremely mistreated and embarrassed by that. Incredible too, because there were only me and my 2 friends in the store and don't understand why the music needed to be deafening and loud.
