The Ugly Duckling - Long Beach

I visited on Sunday night at 5:15, and the restaurant felt more like a club. The music was loud, there was a large crowd, and smoke machines kept going off while we were trying to eat. I could understand this kind of atmosphere if it were around 9 PM, but having a club-like scene at 5:15 is just absurd. We won't be coming back.

The main courses arrived before the appetizers, and we had to ask for plates and utensils. The music inside was quite loud, so we requested to be moved outdoors.

The experience was enjoyable, although the food was a bit delayed since I visited on St. Patrick's Day. However, my server was accommodating, which I appreciated.

The waiter was great considering he works the bar. Food was not good did not have a couple of items on the menu and we closed the restaurant at 8pm! It’s considered off season but we’ll never return

First off, no parking. The menu we got in the restaurant was a fraction of what we saw online. The place was pretty empty and the service was poor. The food was good but the prices were insane for basic “bar food”. $22 for a burger? C’mon
