The restaurant staff informed me that they do not accept bookings from OpenTable and made it seem like I had made a mistake. They seemed slightly annoyed but eventually accommodated us after some hesitation. It felt as though they were doing us a favor rather than being genuinely happy to serve us. While it is not a major issue, it did impact my overall dining experience at the restaurant.
The menu is small but good. The chicken skins are fantastic! The service is friendly and laid back.
Unfortunately, Sad Upward is closed, so the best options are not available. However, this restaurant is perfect for pre-dinner drinks or appetizers with a light menu. The staff is very pleasant and helpful.
Food drinks were lovely- can’t fault them! The location is perfect with a lovely view of the Thames. I had been a few times before and the service is usually OK- however last Wednesday was a nightmare. It took 30 minutes for us to order drinks and another 20 for them to come! One drink had been left off the order which resulted in us ordering wine instead. One staff member was lovely and apologised but the rest couldn’t care less and it’s actually felt like they avoided us! It’s a shame as I love the restaurant and always tell me friends about it. As I had booked it I was a little embarrassed.
I received a confirmation for my booking on the day then arrived at the restaurant to find it was closed! I’m not sure why this platform is allowing bookings?!?!?
