Service was bad, spent most of the time searching for a waiter instead of my lunch partner

The food was rather disappointing and came almost an hour after our order, cold, and only after a second member of the kitchen staff had come to ask if we plan to order food.

Don't let someone make a reservation for 9p, and then treat them like they need to leave because the kitchen is closing. Why allow for a seating then? Terrible service or attention to detail. Great walking distance to south bank.

Cold was my most important memory. It is a large open restaurant and not well heated, they had carpets and blankets on the chairs inside. Standing design, as some of the doors had no handles on the inside so you could not pull them off. Eating was ok, servings varied widely with some (red chicken breast) very small and others (Hähnchenburger) are huge. Service was not great, they did not have our reservation, waited 20 minutes to take our order, waitress could not understand any difference between milk free and gluten free! Once the host was involved, the service was much better. Fast drinking after work would be good for me, otherwise I wouldn't mind.

This is the second Refinery restaurant, which I was recently and was not impressed at all. The portions are so stingey and it is so frustrating to go for lunch, pay quite expensive prices and get a small part of the moderate food. We all left the restaurant still hungry to eat for something else. I don't care to pay the prices, but you can at least give a decent meal. I had the winter rainbow salad with additional chicken breast and there was hardly anything in it. Make for an unpleasant meal try to make your meal longer than 5 minutes. A shame really because it has potential to be a really beautiful place.
