The Gladstone Arms - London

I found the pub to be a bit quirky, but on a cold winter's day, it lacked coziness, leading some members of our group to put their coats back on after a while. The Sunday lunch menu featured just one meat option and a vegetarian alternative, which was essentially the same dish with paneer pie instead of meat. The cooking style offered an Indian twist on traditional English fare; I heard the chicken breast was tasty, and the paneer pie was good as well. However, the accompanying vegetables—spicy roast potatoes, seasonal greens, and Yorkshire pudding—were all served cold. This lack of attention to detail was disappointing, especially since the menu was quite limited and the pub was nearly empty when we arrived at 1:30 PM, only filling up after we received our food. We also tried a few different beers, but there seemed to be an issue with the taps, as both drafts were excessively frothy. Overall, it's a nice pub, and I would consider returning on a warm day, but not for the food.
