The food at this restaurant is incredible, and they offer amazing custom curries. The service is so friendly and welcoming.

After the market closes, Chapel Market road may seem deserted, but if you venture further along the road, you'll come across Spices, a hidden gem. Upon arriving, we were warmly greeted by Ali. Although the restaurant was empty, the takeout staff were busy fulfilling orders, which was a good sign. We took a seat and perused the extensive menu, seeking Ali's advice on what to order. I wanted something new and satisfying for my pescetarian diet, so Ali guided me through the various spices and sauce options to create the perfect meal. My companion also asked for Ali's recommendations for North Asian flavors. We started with delicious garlic naan bread, followed by Lebu and samosas. For our main courses, we enjoyed Moris Masala, mixed veg Bathi, pilau rice, more naan, and another fish dish. The service was excellent, and I even took a takeout menu as Ali offers delivery to my area. I will definitely be ordering from Spices again. The meal was both flavorful and fulfilling, making it hard to leave. Although the restaurant wasn't very busy, it would be a great spot for group reservations, provided the chef can handle the online orders, phone orders, and dine-in customers.

The chef provided excellent service and recommendations. The food was fantastic and reasonably priced.

We enjoyed a friday evening meal at Spices. We had great food at a decent price the place was quite quiet but meant we were served relatively quickly (once our order was taken.. . I'd happily go back again.

A great place to go with friends or that special someone. A cozy neighborhood spot where Ali, the owner and chef takes your order and recommends the best complimentary dishes. The food is fresh, delicious and always great. One of my favorite London restaurants.
