The salmon was delicious with a crispy texture. Meatballs were also great with rice. We felt the moussaka was missing something and the taste was improved when eaten with the slightly salty rice. For dessert we really wanted Turkish coffee with baklava but they were all out of baklava for the day. The Turkish coffee was a pleasant surprise and very nice we had one medium sweet and the other very sweet. All in all a good place to get a bite to eat and we managed to escape the torrential rain after visiting the British Museum.
A diverse dining experience with a good selection of dishes and flavours to try from the renk mezze menu, finished off with delicious baklava that were just the right balance of sweetness. Staff were polite and mostly friendly, though a few were a little aloof at times.
Me and my son were just passing by there two weeks ago and as we were very hungry just decided to go there by chance. And what a good decision. The food was very good. The staff were very nice and friendly. It's a nice and cozy restaurant very close to the British Museum. You go there and can be sure that will come out very satisfied.
Not impressed at all with this restaurant. Food Ridiculously over priced for what you get! The meal pictured is their “mixed grill” and costs £21. It consists of 2 chicken cubes, two pieces cut from a minced lamb kebab and two pieces of other mince meat shapes, served with couscous and a spoon of relish! My son had 5 chicken cubes and fries. This was £17! My partner had couscous and vegetables for £16 and my other son had a chicken skewer which was also about £16. Or total bill was £92 with the hummus £7)and 4 small veg parcels £8) we had with one small glass of wine. They put 15% extra on our bill for service without even asking us or allowing us to tip them ourselves, hauling our bill up to well over £100. I wouldn’t recommend this place at all. The front of house gentleman who does the meet and greet is miserable too! I would give it a miss. Would score zero stars if you could! My review echoes many others and I wish I’d had read them first. They do reply to reviews which is positive, but clearly don’t change anything as a result.
A really nice and friendly atmosphere, well presented and inviting. The food was first class and stirred my memories of Anatolia. Good portions, tasty and with adequate time between courses for it to sink in. Didn’t burn a hole in my pocket. Will we return? You bet we will
