Impeccable service and delicious food. We visit at least four times a year and cannot fault anything. Great British food at its finest. A lovely cocktail bar upstairs for pre lunch or dinner drinks. The oldest restaurant in London never disappoints. I’m really looking forward to returning before Christmas

Quaint English Restaurant in the heart of Covent Garden. Wonderful traditional English cuisine, service was very good, food was amazing. Will definitely return.

My go-to for a special experience when I’m in London. Oysters were, as usual, perfection. It’s a grand place with tangible echoes of London from earlier days. The staff is attentive without being intrusive. A very British menu, full of game.

Nice traditional spot in between the many restaurants in Covent Garden. We had a drink upstairs in the cocktail bar first. You cant order the pewter pint upstairs so had a glass of wine, which was a decent size. We ordered the roast, very pleased with the dinner, we both enjoyed the meal. Followed by sticky toffee lovely. The Guinness in the tankard was ice cold, and a nice touch. The staff were friendly and knowledgeable, we would definitely go again.

Tourist Trap. I had the lamb and for 34£ it was chewy. The entire meal was quite boring. We had the potato salad on the side, the potatoes weren’t properly cooked and uninspiring. Starter were the 18£ scallops. 5 scallops that tasted fishy. Overall overpriced average food. Not good enough for a total of 200£.
