Maybe we have to go back to find out if these desserts are good.
Great place for a seafood dinner. all was delicious! Do not miss the cod with chips, crumb with tomato, grilled scholle and chocolate mousse. oysters are at 50% discount on Tue-Thu nights, which is a real bonus!
Brilliant eating with a fishing twist. anchovies starter, scallops, john dory were all brilliant and the pop mais ice is a beautiful finish. update märz 2022: still amazing.
We visited the restaurant on Friday without a reservation and were pleasantly surprised to find available space for us. The highlight was being able to sit on the heated terrace, creating a lovely atmosphere. The restaurant has a communal vibe, so don’t expect complete privacy—but that’s part of its charm. It’s a great spot for a date, though it can be a bit pricey, especially if you’re the one picking up the tab for the first time. Despite that, it’s a wonderful place to enjoy a meal on one of the beautiful streets of Notting Hill. The food and service were outstanding, with a large selection of wines to choose from. I highly recommend the oysters and the cod I tried; both were amazing, as were the two desserts we ordered.
The desserts were equally impressive. The sorbet, served with smoked cream and passion fruit on a black plate, was not only visually stunning but tasted miraculous, even though it was more like a granita. I was relieved to find that their desserts contained no alcohol. I have a strong dislike for alcohol and often have to inquire whether it’s present in dessert items, which is common, especially in chocolate mousse. However, their chocolate mousse with caramel was a delight, and I particularly enjoyed the honeycomb shards that looked like chocolate shards. Overall, it was a fabulous experience, and I would definitely visit again!
