Always trying to taste new kitchen, we drove into an Algerian restaurant in brixton. it is a family business and you get instantly a sense that the owner really cares about eating. there were 4 of us and we the common plate for 2 as appetizers, consisting of 7 delicious different salad bowls. my favorite was the aubergine who was extremely tasty! I loved the little bowls that came from Algeria. we cleaned them with the homemade brot that was so soft and fluffy! the owner, yes, does everything himself and was enthusiastically recommending the salmon main dish, so is what I went for and it was a good choice! perfectly cooked salmon with a little sweet on...more

Boiled to order, with the minimum an prep, that eating is simple, authentic and tasty. while much more subtle is flavored as Turkish or Middle Eastern equivalent, the aromen and dishes of Algeria are known.

Lovely food and lovely people. all our dishes including the tea were so good. I live in Fulham but will be coming back here again soon.

What a wonderful place. Food smelt and tasted wonderful…just enough spice to make it tasty and warm but not hot. We had a group so sat downstairs which is a great space. The chef brought the food and was around to chat. Went because it was a friend’s local…we are planning to go back on a work do as so reasonable and such a nice evening had. Highly recommend!
