What did they do with their menu? they once offered the best value Japanese food in the city an incredible variety of delicious food from an extensive menu. the menu included a brilliant selection of sushi and sashimi dresses and some lovely light pages. it was a small chain with a winning concept. it was great. Last week we were devastated when we came to a half empty restaurant on a Friday night. we were handed over a new menu, diluted to its naked bones; only a double side with a limited choice. sushi and sashimi dishes were a thing of pastness. Halal huh is available at hare tortoise. I ordered the chicken-catsu-curry (lovably on a cold day as it fills very much) and salmon-sushi. the place will be very busy and so willing to wait when they arrive at peak times. great food. service could have been better. second visit ordered the huhn satay as appetizers (sweet but beautiful) and curry laksa (very tasty)

Excellent pan Asian menu. The curry Laksa is to die for. The Sushi's are good but but nothing special. The ramen soup noodles are the best in this restaurant. Definitely, would come back to try more dishes here.

I have no idea what hare tortoise has to do with Japanese food. To be honest, I only go here for the chirashi don, since I live quite near and not all Japanese restaurants serve it. The chirashi don is decent good selection of fish, generous portion of rice. A lot of people seem to come here, which makes me think that maybe the other dishes aren't too bad either. Staff seems kind of frazzled and rushed, though. Plus points to this restaurant's very extensive menu, with the prices not too painful for your pocket.

Have been frequenting this restaurant since 2006 now and the level hasn't dropped one bit. The Curry Laksa is something that I have looked forward to after hours of starvation! Overall most of the items do not disappoint me and manages to not burn a hole in your pocket even after a sumptuous meal.
