An insult for Italian restaurants. if there was any possibility, I could rate this restaurant somewhat lower I first, no member of the staff is Italian: they are all Turkish, not even know how to describe the most basic Italian dish that I had ever had a tasteless, over boiled pasta, and my man had what could best be described as a microshaft pizza (a 6 greasy insult to Italian pizza) to finish everything restaurant
Goodfare Italian Restaurant is a great pizza place on Parkway right smack bang in the middle of Camden Town. We can't recommend anything other than the Pizza, because the pizzas are so damn good that it's all we ever eat there. The service is OK, the waiters aren't very attentive and the chef is quite a character, who sings in the kitchen and yells from one side of the restaurant to the other to talk to his waiters but you've gotta kind of love that, it all adds to the genuine Italian experience. If you go at lunchtime, as we often do, then it's super cheap we're talking £5.95 for a pizza and a drink. Where : 26 Parkway, Camden, London, NW1 7AH Conclusion : Cheap, friendly...read more
Having lived in Camden for two years, I didn't once go to Goodfare. There was no particular reason, no particular prejudice on my part, it just simply didn't happen. More recently, since moving out of Camden, I was at the Odeon on Parkway, and we thought we'd give Goodfare a shot. Strangely, the most memorable thing about our meal was the milkshakes, which are very good. The pizza, on the other hand, I could take or leave perfectly edible, served up on a thin base. You won't be writing home about it. But I could definitely envisage myself returning for just a shake. And the fine folk who ran the place were perfectly pleasant to deal with, too Screw Flanders.
For a brunch of egg, bean chips. I have wurstei and chips. was too tired to complain and it was in order, but was a little out that she could not get the order right
