Emile's - London

We're always on the lookout for a great meal, and since we were in London, I set out to find a really good wellington.

Had dinner at Emilie's on recommendation of a work colleague Interesting and unusual layout that differs nicely from the average restaurant.

Headed to Emile's on word of mouth in search of a good meal and a nice evening out with the o/h, and we were not dissapointed. Emile's is set in a house,

Being tucked away well off the main street, we walked past it several times and having read the menu, decided to take the mother in law for a treat.With the reviews sounding fantastic and the menu looking rather good, we were all pretty optimistic.I had the Wellington (because the reviews raved about it), but it was a disappointment. There was far too much pate in there and it just overpowered the lovely beef fillet. The response to this was, it's not going to change because it's adored by everyone who eats it . HmmmThe service wasn't the best, having to wait minutes for drinks.

I was disappointed with the dishes that I picked, food was cold, chicken pudding was stodgy and soggy and tasted horrible, service was lacking and food was described as a skid mark... the review and pictures that we left on their facebook page was deleted... do they do that with all the negative comments? poor show
