De Amicis Ristorante Italiano - London

A very pleasant Italian restaurant in Notting Hill Gate. The food is good, though not unusual, the service is friendly and the atmosphere is cozy.

I came by the comments, I was disappointed. Nothing special. The calamari were soft and not crunchy, the lasagna and pasta were ok, but nothing special for an Italian restaurant. It was very cold, the door was always open and the service was super slow. It might have been bad luck.

I love De Amicis. I have been eating at this restaurant for over 40 years (where did time go? . It has passed transparently from father to son and is still as enjoyable and charming as ever. Food is delicious, wines are superb, service is just how I like it ... not too intrusive, but there when you need it. I no longer live in Notting Hill, but visit this lovely restaurant whenever I can.
