But the waiters here also double as food preparers, not only giving the last touches to the food perhaps cooked in a shared kitchen, but in the case of the dessert of the day tightening through the nozzle of a gun the creamy fillers in the leafy cakes. The menu of the day appeared on an external board like 10 for a more dessert incoming and only 3 extra for a first glass of wine that I described slightly differently in the printed menu as 3 for an incoming, 8. 50 for a main dish and 3 for a dessert. The menu changes weekly. Today it started with a beautifully marmoleated ham teat with salad and crunchy bread. The main part of the steak of smoked eglefino was a bit disappointed by its slightly disappointing potato pieces, but completely redeemed by its mushroom sauce. The piece of resistance, however, was, possibly, the profiteroles both in terms of flavor and presentation. A double espresso coffee cane with a chocolate cake that complements the profiteroles very well. With the French cuisine of this quality, where could you find a better lunch offer anywhere in London?
This is a simple French-style brasserie. Plat du Jour has a good relationship and changes every day. We had duck carpachio (rained duck, eek, deer stew with sweet potato. Served with good bread and a glass of 'white house', all for 13 each. Good service. The place was full at lunchtime, which is a good sign. There's a restaurant with michelin stars from the same stable next door. Maybe next time. .
We stopped here to have a couple of cocktails before dinner at the Gascon Club. The bartender was very attentive. We tried four different cocktails. The favorite was a body revivor. Definitely a good bar to visit, pity there aren't many open places nearby on weekends
I don't know if this is anything from London, but charge 12. A 5% service without informing you about a contact-free payment for 2 drinks, when there are only 2 other people at the bar, is unnecessary and a disadvantage. I would avoid purely on this basis, despite the good cocktails.
I met a colleague for lunch at this fun pub with his most famous sister restaurant with star michellin. First, after 15 minutes, no one came to take our order (not even by water), so we told a waiter that was more grunting about it. We ordered four dishes, a bottle of water and two glasses of the same wine. Gruñón didn't write the order. Guess what? I brought foie gras pancakes and ordered duck profiteroles. Now who's grumpy? First, the grumpy bartender tells me I remembered what I asked. Then when my colleague confirmed what he had ordered, he said, “I will not charge you for that.” As if I normally pay for the food I have not ordered! Le Bar is not cheap. You need your home to be in order instead of sending emails to say that you have received your booking request, although they also informed you that your reservation is not confirmed. Then, two days before the date we inform you that your reservation is confirmed. And finally the day before I remind you that you introduce yourself. Because the reservation was not initially confirmed (in fact the opposite) I thought of canceling. I wish I had.
