We were frustrated because our last night (and only night to dine alone) coincided with a bank holiday and many restaurants were closed. My husband found Bombay Kitchen online and was not feeling very optimistic, but we took a taxi there. It was wonderful! Because we didn't know what to expect, I was expecting formica tables and a very basic atmosphere, but I was wrong! The tables had white tablecloths and the atmosphere was warm, cozy, and intimate. The service was quick and attentive and the food was excellent! It was one of the best Indian meals I have eaten. At the end of the evening, our waiter offered us a complimentary after-dinner drink.
I have been ordering from this restaurant for 20 years under their old name. I am happy to see that Bombay Kitchen is just as amazing. I will definitely be ordering from them again.
Low key, quiet relaxed respectful staff. love the food always a winner.normal prices but the quality is good they deliver well too.The better of the Indian takeaway's in Brixton I think.
Located right next to Brixton Market, this Indian restaurant is a true gem. The food is absolutely delicious and very flavorful. The staff is very attentive and always willing to go through the menu with you to advise you on the best dish that corresponds to your personal taste; they can even make a spicy dish less spicy if you ask. We have eaten there several times and have also gotten delivery (they also do deliveries) and it has always been great. Additionally, there is a good selection of vegetarian dishes. Excellent value for money.
I decided to try this on the way home, but I've decided I'll have to order from here more often since it is the best local Indian to me.
