Alens Fish Chips - London

I tried fish and chips from England for the first time and thoroughly enjoyed it. I had never heard of mushy peas before, but they were surprisingly tasty. The fish was excellent. Overall, a great meal.

The fish was incredibly light and flaky, and the chips were delicious as well. The service was exceptional.

This is what a typical Fish and Chips should be. Fresh, home made, good quality and great price. I will definitely recommend this place to everyone.

Extremely dry and tasteless chicken and chips. No rice or salad or wine or beer even though on menu. Would not go back

I’d read a lot of good reviews of this place so I suggested it for a post work meal venue. It’s about 840 9 pm so not desperately late...but we got rather tepid, leathery chips and my battered sausage had been cooked so long before it was like a truncheon. I think we were just unlucky the chips were evidently the end of a previous batch and the fresh ones were doubtless not far away. The location is excellent and the decor is not too bad if you want to sit in. Also not too pricey. For a central london chippy I would have assumed a bit more...
