Afternoon Tea The Lampery - London

Service I have ever met in a restaurant. I and friends arrived and no personal greeted us, we had to approach them and it felt like we were interrupting their conversation. we came to another customer who complained that they wait for 30 minutes to eat so that no worse began. we were brought to our table and had menus for the afternoon, but they let us sit there and waited for half an hour. no water on the table. They finally took over our job after I showed up about three times at the personal. the afternoon was nice, eating was the only good at the restaurant. the cocktails with the afternoon tea were too strong with a taste of pure alcohol, no other flavors. the attentiveness of the personal was a struggle, they all spoke also Italian with each other, each individual who is out of my own and rude. a man who looked like a manager brought our rugged tablet out of whisper and promised to come back with small cutlery. he never came back. I asked a waitress for a refill of water, the aforementioned little cutlery for desserts and if we could order our tee. an hour in the afternoon... we were not asked what we want. the tee came, but the waitress never brought water or small cutlery. then she disappeared and the other waiter cried out the eye contact. it was a fight to get attention to a bill. I finally did it and then we were waiting for about 10 minutes, while the waiter folded serviettes that must have been so much more important. we got up and paid at the cash. I was sick to pay this 12.5% service fee, it wasn't until after that my friend said it was optional. it has accused me of giving a service fee for virtually no service. I wasn't even here again, not even in the hotel! it was a very quiet time of the day and we were still ignored. very disappointing experience, as I have booked before weeks and could have gone to a more serious place for tee, but decided to give the lampery a great mistake.

The sandwiches were lovely and the there was a good selection of tea.

Noise was rather echoing, needs some baffling. Food was good especially the warm scones. Ordered water but this did not appear but on bill! Service was what to be expected but a bit disappointed that we had to ask for refill of tea

Food was excellent and a very very good deal. Cocktails and champagne very affordable and delicious! Service left something to be desired as staff seemed unfamiliar with afternoon tea altogether, but were friendly and responded well to feedback. Overall highly recommend for value, location, and ease!

A good way to celebrate with friends. Super service, attentive but not intrusive. A lovely tea with a few slightly different items included such as a goats cheese macaroon. Certainly enhanced by the Moll cocktail. Would recommend to anyone looking for a quiet relaxed place to meet up with friends whilst enjoying a very pleasant tea.
