Getta Burger - Logan City

Craving a big dirty burger but don’t wanna travel far. With that in mind we landed at Getta Burger. We rocked up peak of lunch time and were able to secure a dirty table (sauce, lettuce & piece of tomato…). After reviewing their small menu we ordered the getta burger, getta beef brisket & getta filthy fries to share. There were three orders before us and took 35min for the food to arrive. First up, the getta burger, which contains a decent sized beef paddy, lettuce, tomato, onion, pickle, slice of cheese, tomato relish & mayo. The size of this thing is massive and can easily feed a very hungry man. Biting into the burger was an average experience with the beef paddy dry and overcooked, overwhelming amount of mayo and watery salads. The sesame bun itself was dense and flavourless which does not help with the overall mouth feel. I was unable to taste the “special tomato relish” at all since the whole time your pallet is battling the thick & rich mayo sauce. 2/5  The getta beef brisket was next to arrive. The big size burger contains thick cuts of slow cooked brisket, cheese, pickle, slaw & “special BBQ sauce”. The brisket was juicy, tender and full of beefy flavours with a nice “pink ring” demonstrating the slow cooked character. The pickle and slaw balance out the rich brisket nicely but the lack of BBQ sauce made the burger boring. I find my wife picking out the meat and left the bun behind at the end. 3.5/5 With our meal nearly finished, the late order getta filthy fries arrived. First impression, OMG the amount of sauce! Apparently underneath there should be brisket, pulled pork, onion, maple bacon & fries. The thick sauces were soo salty and overpowering, we couldn’t taste any of the meat. After our third bite, we gave it back and asked for a refund. 1/5 The overall service was slow and laid back. The “dude” behind the counter was friendly but very easily distracted by his friends siting at one of the table. With around $42 spent on food and drinks. One would expect service to be professional. 2.5/5 Hint: Their getta beef brisket is quite good but ask for extra BBQ sauce. If your into filthy fries, asked them to place the sauce in a separate container. Their signature getta burger is not worth trying.

I was with a carnivore friend who was craving a burger.  So in here I was dragged. My friend ordered a burger with the LOT (not sure what was in it) however it looked huge & was expensive but settled his craving for meat & fries evidently. I tried his fries they weren't bad, but personally didn't think they were worth the money

We were visiting family in Springwood and decided to grab some lunch. After visiting the Getta Burger in Carindale, and realising there was one in Springwood, we thought we would give it a try. Considering the Carindale store was so good, we had high expectations. Unfortunately the Springwood store does not hold up against its sibling store. We ordered similar burgers that we ordered last time, but they did not have the same pizazz. The flavour was not really there, and the meat was slightly overcooked. Don't get me wrong, the burgers were nice, but they just felt a step down compared to their brethren store.   We felt we experienced the better place first, and after that, it would be hard to compete. Still, if you are in the area, it is worth a look.

Burger is very big and patty is very thick, however the taste is so bad. Patty is totally overcooked , very dry ; sauce is not enough and no flavor at all. Bread is cold and dry. Even hungry jack burgers are much better than this. I would rather go to grilled next time. Very disappointed.
