Friendly, helpful staff, extensive menu and was not disappointed by the meal it was delicious! big stop off point if she would go south (or on the way to home) from our way to eat again. highly recommended.

Excellent eating served by excellent staff first time there, but will certainly not be our last, it could not recommend very enough if after good eating in good environment this is the place to go!!!!

Had booked a table for dinner on Saturday 9th December. We had pre booked so the hotel had the full order for the 8 of us. The meal was absolutely first class! Not a single one of the party complained (and some of us are renowned fussy eaters! The food was all served promptly, and all of the staff who served us were very helpful and friendly. A special thank you to the owner Stephen who made sure during and after each course that we were fine, and if anything else was needed. It was a lovely meal and good value for money £22.95 for three yummy courses! It's a no brainer! Shall definitely be back!

Had a meal at townhead last night food was delicious portion size was fab but couldn't finish it all.....my sister&I then had a few of there Moffat toffee vodka which was amazing thanks to all the staff for a lovely night.x

Was our 1st time at coming on Sunday food was excellent staff were great we were a family of 6 the only down side was the wait for our desert which I can't under stand why as it was not to busy at the time we were in but would definitely recommend and will be back in the near future
