It was very quiet but that suited us with two tired kids in tow.The menu had all the typical pub grub options. The schnitzels were generous with the gravy and thick cut crunchy chips the highlights. Kids meals were good value at $7.50.We enjoyed the friendly service. Staff made us feel welcome and that our business was appreciated. I don't know that we'd rush back, but our experience was a pretty good one.
Maybe it's had a refurb and menu upgrade since these previous reviews as we (a family of seven) were all very impressed. The roadside beer garden is not idyllic but once inside the decor is lovely and light with curved booths etc in the main restaurant but more if a snug feel nearer the bar. The service was impeccable. The menu choices were good, the food delicious and we were all very pleasantly surprised. It was much better than pub grub and should be much busier. Would recommend.
Spur of the moment stop for a quick dinner. Chicken parmigiana and fish and chips off the specials board. Both meals freshly cooked, decent size and delicious. Best "pub" tossed salad I have had in a very long time. Friendly staff.
We go here on occasion, one thing that can be guaranteed is you will always get a medium/well steak, weather you ask for rare,medium/rare or well done haha. The meals are typical, pub meals but are certainly tasty enough but quality does vary
A (very) quiet New Year's Day lunch in tranquil Lobethal. The menu had a good variety. Four of us ate different meals which were all nice and good value for money. The service was great. Very friendly staff.
