Charleston Hotel - LOBETHAL

My wife and I just dropped in on ANZAC Day just on a whimWe were greeted by the new owner Peter "Jessie' James and offered a table for lunch.

The Rising Sun Hotel is a rather small hotel in Lobethal at the top of the Main RoadThe hotel is rather dated looking inside and out.

We had heard good reports about this restaurant & thought we would try it.Everyone was right, the food was excellent.Two of us had the crumbed camembert for a starter. Very tasty.We had a selection of grilled fish, lamb shanks, mixed grill & Trio of fish.All were cooked to perfection, served promptly at the same time & were delicious.This is an excellent venue for good Australian pub food

Popped in for lunch at the end of our South Australian Holiday. A perfect spot for a Sunday Lunch. In fact we think lunch there any day would be equally as good. Lovely food, genuine country hospitality. What a great way to finish of an holiday.Wish it was closer to home.

My husband and I went here for dinner recently and were impressed by the quality of food and hospitality! We will definitely be back!
