I ordered the calamari, my partner the tapado. While using the restroom the waiter told my partner they were out of calamari but had the prawns. The price between dishes changed from Q.65 – Q.100. *As a waiter in a restaurant charging generally high prices you should have the professionalism to recommend a dish of a similar price, warn them if the dish you recommend is nearly twice the price and also the kitchen should flag what they're out of to the waitstaff to relay to diners before their order is taken* Please note – the Tapado was delicious and worth the money. My prawns themselves were nice but you wouldn’t pay that much in Australia for the quality of the meal including bland sides overall (please consider salad dressing). My pineapple smoothie (despite the reviews here saying otherwise so perhaps an unfortunate fluke) tasted like it had a heap of sugar in it. This was the most expensive meal we have had in Guatemala (we’ve been around most of the country and to many nice restaurants) and for that I’m left feeling pretty outraged. All in all a tasty meal but disappointing. I’m sure there are other restaurants around Livingston with nice food at a more reasonable price. We only went here because of the general good reviews and it was a Sunday so most places were closed. Hope you guys can take my comments constructively.
The menu has several vegetarian options. they make delicious fresh, sugar-free fruit shakes. an English menu is available. the parts are greater than averaged.
Best coco loco in the city! and that was fantastic!
Nice place, a little pricey (compared to a more basic comedor), but tasty food and cold beer. Nice atmosphere.
Best Coco Loco in town!!! And the food was ... Fantastic!!
