I have tried other Indian restaurants in Liverpool and London, but Zaaffran stands out with its authentic Indian taste and well-executed dishes. Compared to neighboring restaurants like Cafe Sikander and Millon Tandoori, Zaaffran's food is not bland or overly oily. The staff at Zaaffran are also Indian, which adds to the overall experience with their knowledge and excellent service. My favorite dishes at Zaaffran were dal tadka, chana chat puri, aloo jeera, and kadhai paneer. The chutneys served with poppadoms were also a highlight. Overall, Zaaffran is a must-visit for anyone looking for delicious Indian cuisine in Liverpool.
Zaaffran is a new addition to the restaurant scene in South Liverpool. Despite facing competition from nearby rivals like Millon and Sekander, the restaurant's unassuming exterior may not immediately impress. However, on a Saturday night, the restaurant was surprisingly empty. Despite the lack of customers, the staff were friendly and did not make awkward small talk. I appreciated the fact that they offered mocktails for non-drinkers like myself. Overall, while the experience was not perfect, I enjoyed my meal at Zaaffran.
