A notice in the window indicated that they had relocated to a new location. We will miss it greatly, but wanted to inform other visitors so they would not make a wasted trip.
I stumbled upon Toffs almost by accident, located in the Queens Arcade off Water Street or Castle Street. It's a small cafe, but they also have a larger, slightly more upscale setting in the basement that could be perfect for special events. I really appreciate the secluded setting of Queens Arcade away from the crowds. The menu is simple and the service is top-notch, with friendly Liverpudlian staff. My only suggestion for improvement would be to present their cakes in a more visually appealing way for a 5-star rating. Overall, it's a great little place that I would be happy to visit again.
We decided to try Toff's on a whim during our city break in Liverpool, tired of our usual breakfast spots. While looking for a place off the main streets near the Premier Inn on Vernon Street, we stumbled upon Toff's Bar and Brasserie down a fancy alley next to Moose Coffee on Dale Street. The menu in the window looked promising, especially for me as a vegetarian, so we decided to give it a try. The restaurant was quiet with only one other table occupied, so we chose a seat by the window. A friendly waitress took our drink orders and we quickly decided on our breakfast choices from the varied menu. I ordered scrambled eggs on toast with baked beans on brown bread, while my partner went for the full breakfast and our daughter chose the bacon and scrambled egg panini. The food arrived promptly and we were all impressed with the generous portions and delicious flavors. Everything was cooked perfectly, and we all thoroughly enjoyed our meals. Despite my initial apprehension about the quiet atmosphere, I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food and the cleanliness of the restaurant. The owner informed us that Toff's has been around for 20 years, which speaks to its reliability and popularity. We happily paid our bill of around £14-£15 for three drinks and three hearty breakfasts. I would highly recommend Toff's to anyone, regardless of age or dietary preference, as there is something for everyone on the menu and the food is consistently delicious. We look forward to returning next time we are in Liverpool.
