It was mid-afternoon when we stopped by so it was rather quiet. The bar staff was very nice and the wine was very good. The woman behind the bar did an amazing job chilling the glasses making the wine the perfect temperature. Was nice to see the Beatles photos on the wall as well as some of the artwork painted on the walls by the late Stuart Sutcliffe. Will return again so check out the 3rd floor records and drinks!
Don't miss the pub where John Lennon and his classmate Stuart Satcliffe painted on the basement wall to fund some beer purchases... Still selling good beer there :
Was enjoying my night out. Nice vibe and decently priced drinks. However, a member of staff (assume female, but will use they/them pronouns being the inclusive person I am), accused me of giving someone a dirty look. This was so needless, untrue and a blatant example of gaslighting. I was made to question my own sanity and returned home in despair. My night was ruined. I will never return. Be careful, visitors.
Prime Minister Boris announced the roadmap for lifting pandemic restrictions on February 22nd. Pubs will be allowed to reopen on April 12th for outdoor service only, with indoor and outdoor service permitted from May 17th. By June 21st, things should be more or less back to normal. It will be great to once again be able to visit popular streets like Slater Street and popular bars like The Jacaranda. The Jacaranda is a fantastic bar with a cool atmosphere, great interior, and beautiful decor and furnishings. There is plenty of seating options throughout the bar, and the staff are excellent. The drinks are always served in top-notch condition. I enjoy visiting this bar and look forward to returning when the final lockdown is lifted. The Jacaranda is easy to find on Slater Street.
Great bar and our first visit mid week early evening in January and only a few people in when we got there and within 20 minutes is got really quite busy and all seats taken. Booth type seating area as you enter and great atmosphere. Fab old juke box, quirky decor and loads of pictures of the Beatles on walls and real mix of ages too. Just 5 minutes from Central Station/top of Liverpol One area/Hanover St areas and 10 minutes stroll from Cavern Walks. Just a few minutes from Concert Square area.
