I ordered the specialty sauce katsu donburi. It's 900 yen so not exactly cheap, but it comes with a good amount of katsu and eggs similar to oyakodon. The sauce and katsu were delicious and the eggs complemented them well. The katsu was not too big and tender, and the rice portion was just right, so I enjoyed it until the end. It wasn't dramatically delicious, but it was good enough to consider eating again. The staff were friendly and had a homely feel. When I sat down and fanned myself, they immediately turned on the air conditioning and said, "We turned on the air conditioning, so this seat is cooler." It was a nice gesture. I hope other restaurants can take notes from this kind of hospitality. Even in a small town diner, they had hand sanitizer available outside and partitions between customer seats for COVID-19 prevention measures. I appreciate their effort and want to support them.
The rumored special garlic ramen is a powerful bowl full of flavor. It contains minced garlic and garlic chips that go well with the soup, and although not listed on the menu, it also comes with white rice. You can also ask for extra rice. You can pour the remaining soup over the rice and enjoy it until the last drop! After finishing the meal, you will definitely notice the strong garlic smell on yourself (laughs). The noodles are regular Kitakata noodles. It cost 950 yen.
The sauce katsudon with unique and delicious tamagoyaki in Yanagawa town. The sauce is relatively light in taste and not overwhelming. It is delicious.
