Great Road Kitchen - Littleton

The first time at GRK. Place has a nice decor. Service was good. We ordered all the food together while we went to the movie after dinner, but waiters said we were on time. I'll come back. Started with Calamari Friten, the waiter politely checks whether we had ordered before. He let us know that it was not traditional Calamari, but a long finger like Frites. We went ahead, it was very hard on the orange pepper glaze sauce. Wouldn't order again. For dinner I ordered braided short rib and my wife the Winter Pesto Shrimp Pasta. The first problem was that my wife dinner and mine came very fast and before the appetizer that arrived shortly after. So much for timing. The short rib was stuffed so much with a lime sauce so that it overwhelmed the beef. Immediately for the Pesto Pasta of my wife very hard on the sauce. Wouldn't order again. Just average. And paid for price, disappointing. In addition, Entree arrives before the appetizer and was not good general dining experience .

We've been here several times, but not sure we're back. We were very disappointed with the food this time. Our meals were warm, Blande and the lobster special was overhauled and dry. This is likely because these meals had to sit under the heat lamp for some time. I don't know if they were done wrong or because it was Valentine's Day, but we ordered our dinners and the server literally brought them within 5 minutes.

This was our second time here, based on a great first experience, but the second time around was not the charm, very disappointing at the level of service, especially if one of the party asked to have added mushrooms to the Brunch burger, the answer was somewhat confusing... the question was whether GRK had added mushrooms to a burger, the answer was that you could get a lot of different types of mushrooms, but they were all

We've eaten here quite a number of times over the years. Service has gone down hill a bit. Two things that really bothered us Saturday night: 1. We each ordered a glass a wine, the waitress came back and explained that they were out of that wine. That happens, I get it. We ordered a different glass and she came back and explained that they were out of THAT wine, too. C'mon why have it on your menu if you don't have it in stock? At least have the server mention what you are out of when handing out the wine/drink menu. 2. Service was too quick. Even despite the wine debacle and despite the fact that we ordered appetizer and dessert (in addition to entrees), we were in and out within 52 minutes. Barely even made sense to have a babysitter!

Wow, the slowest service ever! It was like we were in France ..... 3 hours. Is it a ploy to get you to order more drinks? We were absolutely starving. Food was decent, but I won't be going back.
