South on Main - Little Rock

My coworkers and I were trying to go to Vaduno, but you needed reservations. My party didn't know that (from out of town). We walked down and saw South on Main. We were immediately greeted and seated. This place is charming. Gino was great! He had great recommendations too. We went on a Thursday night (around 6 ish) it was not that busy. We had the Lushpuppies, delish with that aioli. I had the Shrimp and Grits, it was so good and creamy. My coworkers had the smoked brisket stroganoff, I tasted a little that was good too, but I loved my Shrimp and Grits. The prices and portions were reasonable as well. The food was great, but the service was impeccable as well. Thanks Gino!

The servers were super nice and friendly. I was there for dinner with my 3 year old and they were very sweet with her. She had the soup of the day Chicken Noodle. It was so hearty and more of a stew. Delicious. We ordered the grilled sourdough to start and some choices from the Butcher Field. The mains came out long before the starter which was kind of weird, but we didn't mind. I loved the baked brie. I was huge though so make sure you're ready to share or take some home. I took some home and had it later for a snack. The Butcher Field choices were fun. I got brisket and my husband got pork and then we shared a bunch of sides. Highlights the mushrooms, the mac cheese, and collared greens.

I came here for brunch. The prices around brunch and lunch seem much more affordable than their dinner prices. I got the fried oyster eggs benedict for $14. It was good. However, my friend got the smoked trout for $14. It came with fried potatoes with sweet bell peppers and two fried eggs. The bite I tried was DELICIOUS! I wish I had gotten this instead. I also tried her two biscuits with onion gravy for $8. Not worth it...the biscuits were a little corn-bready, though the gravy was good.

Brunch Duck waffles were fantastic! Perfect blend of sweet and salty!! Staff was great!!

16 Oz Steak and Mashed Potatoes.. was very tender and a great flavor! It wasn't quite a full 16 Oz, more like 10-12 but still worth it! Atmosphere and service was awesome!
