This restaurant has the best soul food I've experienced in the nine years I've lived in Georgia—no doubt about it! You need to try it quickly. I've sampled nearly everything on the menu, and I can't recall a single bad experience. Each dish was absolutely delicious! It really takes me back to the way my grandmother used to cook when I was a child.

A Taste of Home. A friend recommended this restaurant to me, and I had noticed it several times. One day, I decided to stop by and try a bite. Oh my gosh, if you don't want to become a regular, stay away! The food was so delicious that I ended up taking an extra dish home for my brother, but I seriously thought about keeping it for myself! I had the pulled pork over rice (even better than my mom's), along with green maize bread and maize cheese. Everything was absolutely perfect! I guess I'm just as normal as my brother!

A diamond in the rough. The exterior and the location of Annie Mae's does not disappear, which is inside. That's really good food. I was just trying to be disappointed from curiosity. You get a meat and two vegetables and bread. Drinks are extra. The total amount is below $9.00. You get a lot of meat and it is good and delicate. The vegetables are prepared by someone who knows what they are doing. My g/f has really shaved over the Mac and the cheese, so I have to go back and try it and the tasty looking meat lamb. It was disappointed that they were closed on Valentine's Day. Please try. Good food like this needs our support.

I am from Delaware and I love southern food. I googled this establishment and drove over after reading the reviews. I enjoyed 90% of the food! Meatloaf is good if you like it somewhat sweet. Yams were yummy! Greens/cabbage mix was good if you are into sweet veggies. Smothered chops were good and that fried chicken??? Mmm hmmm!!! Crispy, cooked to order, seasoned well!!! Green beans had a sweet taste but were good. Black-eyed peas were savory. Mac-n-cheese? I was not a fan. I have not had any mac-n-cheese in Atlanta and surrounding areas that tasted like I like it. It will have a lot of cheese but no real flavor. That southern sweet tea was on point if you love diabetes in a cup like I do!!! The staff were very sweet and hospitable!! I am headed back for banana pudding!!
