The Blue Fox - Lithgow

A fantastic choice for something different. The Green Fox Bowl was surprisingly delicious. I'm typically not a salad person, but this dish was packed with flavor and stood out from many other salads I've had in the past. The edamame was just right! I thoroughly enjoyed my meal and would definitely come back again. I just wish there were more options available.

The menu features a clearly labeled 'Pink Fox' vegan burger, along with a variety of delightful vegan smoothie options. They also offer different types of plant-based milk for your coffee. The vibe leans more towards fast food rather than gourmet dining. I didn't get a chance to try the more upscale 'Blue Fox' next door, which seems to be an extension of the takeaway shop but provides a sit-down dining experience.

First, I must say that the service was outstanding! The staff was incredibly accommodating and even checked with the chef regarding vegan options. Despite how busy they were, I never felt like a burden. However, I noticed that the choices for vegan and vegetarian dishes were quite limited. They don’t have a separate vegetarian menu, and I couldn’t customize a burger to be vegan, though it seemed like they didn’t actually have burgers on the menu anyway. For vegetarians, there was a gnocchi dish available. They also had an eggplant palmi, but it wasn't available during my visit. For vegans, the only option was the green fox shell, which was very tasty! They did offer a few vegan appetizers: swash rings with aioli, chips with aioli, and potato skins with aioli. The waitress mentioned that their aioli is vegan, which is fantastic! Unless you’re specifically craving a delicious green salad bowl, this place might not be worth the trip for vegans and vegetarians. On the bright side, they do serve delightful cocktails!

First, the service was amazing! The staff couldn't blame. Very acommodating and checked with the cook over vegan options. Even if they were busy, I didn't feel like a pain. However, the options for vegans and vegetarians were very limited. You don't have a separate vegetarian menu and you can't veganize a burger (I'm pretty sure they didn't even make burgers, but I didn't see through the menu that is exactly to be honest). For vegetarians you can order a gnocchi. There was also an aubergine palmi, but it was not available when I went there. For vegans there was the only possibility of green fox shell. That was very delicious! They could also eat three entrees vegans, onion rings with aioli, chips with aioli and potato skins with aioli. The waitress informed me that her aioli is vegan, which is great! Unless you have a Hankering for a delicious green salad bowl, it is probably not worth going here. They also make delicious cocktails!
