This is such a great seafood and meat market. Everything is top notch and super fresh! Just remember that you have to pay extra for the good stuff...

The last time we purchased fish there, it wasn't prepared at all to specifications. Today, without even hearing my request, the owner indulged in the rudest behavior ever. Plus, the prices are unconscionably high. DO NOT USE.

I set a dollar amount and requested meat for dinner. Told them to surprise me. With the pandemic, they dont allow anyone inside (fine by me) so the woman serving us dissappeared inside for a couple minutes and came back out with a white bag. I requested she not reveal the contents and handed her my card. We made it half way home before anyone peaked. Shannon told me we got scallops. Sweet. When we got home i found shrimp under the scallops. Bonus. Just a couple of minutes in butter and the shrimp was fresh out of the water quality and the scallops were sweet. Happy as hell with dinner.

Stopped by Tilden's for the first time after seeing people congregating to pick up orders. I wasn't aware that there was a seafood market in Litchfield so we were pretty excited. The gentleman that greeted us was very friendly and welcoming. Due to COVID we weren't permitted inside which I find to be very challenging as I typically like to see what I'm purchasing. They had a whiteboard that listed all the fish and additional items for sale but no pricing which I found to be a bit awkward and would unfortunately make us not return until we would be able to go inside. I felt very caught off guard when I was told the total price and there was no itemized receipt provided. Overall quality of the fish was very fresh delicious but shopping experience would make me think twice before returning.

The fish and meat here are always the freshest. I’m never let down.
