The Grill at comfort inn - Lismore

I only write when I have something good to say so it has been a while ., lots places toChoose in Lismore but I chose the grill ! The services was ok It's Lismore but the food .steak perfect with vegetables the chef is to b complement well done .

Decided to try somewhere different for dinner. At 6.40 there was no-one I the restaurant but decided we would try out out anywaysFirstly no vegetarian options on the menu. When questioned they said they are in the middle of updating their menu. They offered to make me a pasta. I opted just for a salad. The chef did make me a beautiful salad. Not a restaurant I would be rushing back to

Ate here for three nights, the main reason was the convenience as we were staying in the hotel next door. Service was a bit on the slow side, could have died from thirst one night, even when there weren't many people there it was slow. The food was ok nothing special, I ordered a medium steak one night and my colleague ordered a rare steak, mine turned out rare and his medium rare, that about sums the place up.

Staying at the Comfort Inn where this restaurant is located - decided to try The Grill restaurant tonight. Got a free drink voucher for staying at the hotel - ordered the house red - quite nice.First thing i found out was the menu in the room was not the current menu - the fillet mignon i was going to order was no longer on the menu - handy...So i ordered the rib fillet with pepper sauce and chips & salad.The steak was perfect - the pepper sauce ended up being dianne sauce - was too sweet for me - didn't enjoy the sauce.Salad was nothing special and the chips were enjoyable.The service was good - i didn't have to wait too long for a drink or food - however the waiter when i asked about the sauce i had - asked if it taste like pepper - which i said no, it tasted like dianne sauce - his response was ... well it was probably dianne .... no really - as if i didn't work that out.It would have been nice for you to say sorry you didn't get what you ordered sir.I enjoyed the steak ..... i won't be rushing back however.

Absolutely awesome meals for the whole family,there wasn't a morsel left on any of the plates for all three courses even with a chef on trial that night,the staff are very friendly and attentive and food came to the table in great time,have eaten here with my family on a few occasions and have enjoyed ourselves every time,the desserts were an absolute treat,do yourself a favor and get amongst it
