Excellent portuguese food and wine, an all round culinary delight to be savoured, with atmosphere fantastic! Thoroughly recommended.
I read about O Fernando in The Times travel section and, as we were imminently heading off for Lisbon, thought it would be a great place for lunch when we first arrived from our early morning flight. On the edge of the Portuguese administrative area, on a pleasant triangular space, with outside seating, we were treated to great fish, fantastically cooked on the grill, with lovely vegetables, and washed down with the house ‘branco’ at just over €5 for 75cl. An absolute bargain at €17/head including coffees a dessert, a brandy and the house wine, which was delicious. One definitely not to be missed.
To this tiny restaurant for inexpensive wine and excellent fish. Very small, very local, very friendly. Typical Lisbon food grilled fish with salad and potatoes, warm natas, but fresh, excellent and in a very welcoming atmosphere. Not obviously tourist oriented limited English, nobody hustling and not smart, but definitely recommended as a go to:
A good number of options -with the notable exception of pastas- for such a small place. Picanha, sardines and mixed meats were all well served. An extra for the outdoor seating on a square.
