The restaurant is located in a beautiful building in Lisbon, but the interior decoration was poor, with too much light, and I didn’t find why they called it Harlem, not even the music, the same music all night, I was wondering why they were paying the DJ. The food offer was small, and the quality was low, I really don’t understand the good critics in magazines. The waitress was polite and the service was fast, but I’ll not comeback.
The food is different (south of USA style), very good (my fish was a little bit salty, but that's all), the place it's great, but I felt invisible, no one looked to see if something was needed, even when I was trying to call someone. The bill came mistaken, they need to practice! But the food... it's awesome!
I was at Harlem on a Friday night and using a discount. We were keen on trying some of the traditional southern dishes of the States and we were aware that this restaurant would probably serve theses dishes with their own twist. I have to say, the waiter was super nice and helpful but the food was bland, and honestly I guess I could have done better at home. It is simply not worth it money wise, even using the discount.
Went to this restaurant for my birthday for the first time. Had the opportunity to buy one of their online voucher promotions and it was so disappointing. Over expensive, most of the plates ordered had exaggerated salt/pepper/piri piri which can all destroy any good dish (if it was ever a good dish). Desserts were another disappointment, poor poor poor. For the price you pay the food and drinks are a disappointment. The restaurante has poor lightning and decorations. I am definetely not returning to this restaurant and I suggest you save that money to experience other restaurants in the area.
